Changed my interior map light from blue to SMD white. Completely lights up the inside of the car at night, not bad for less than £1.50!

Less tacky and more practical.

Also I've changed my front shocks to some Gaz ones. Adjustable damping

Spax front shocks out:

Springs swapping over:

And Gaz shocks on:

The ride is much better. Probably because the adjusters actually work on these I've been able to make them a bit softer than the Spax shocks.

Also after changing just the front shocks, a wheel wobble problem I've had for ages that I've spent hundreds on trying to fix has bizarrely stopped?! I have no idea why but I'm not really complaining lol.

Washed the car for Trax. Lots of tyre shine :D

A few pics from the AllCorsa stand :)

Cheers Dave. The back and the interior are definitely my favourite bits...apart from the distinct lack of aftermarket backbox at the moment.

Also a bit annoyed that it's meant to be lowered 40mm all round but the front still looks like it's standard height. The back is fine but there's too much arch gap at the front at the moment, need to sort that asap!

Cheers :)

Got another update from today.

Bought this earlier. Should have it early next week. Genuine Irmscher twin exhaust. Bloody rare!

Also went to Harbury Lane today and picked up a new bonnet. The front of my current one is completely shagged; lots of rust bubbling and blisters. But look, no rust!:

Also picked up the stuff needed to have an electrically operated sunroof:

Also got the n/s colour coded wing mirror and what was left of the o/s:

Then when I got home I realised I'd forgotten my torx allen keys Went back to the scrappy and they'd already been taken :( But every cloud has a silver lining and all that...I thought whilst I was there I'd have one more hunt for the missing o/s wing mirror casing just on the off chance it was there somewhere. And low and behold, a few cars down mixed in and hidden with some other scrap on the muddy floor I found this:

:D Got back home and completed the pair. Need to transfer my glass onto them but I'm so happy to finally have found a colour coded pair, only taken me about 2 and a half years Gave them a quick polish:

I'll set about fitting some of the bits tomorrow :)

Indeed you did lol. Saw you drive past a couple of times. Not usually a massive fan of Saxos but yours does look good and is in the best colour. Nice sound to it too.

Here's what I was doing.......

Got the wing mirrors changed over:

Here's the state of the old bonnet:

Set about getting the new one on:

All back together:

Still needs tweaking slightly but it sits much better than the old one. Also needs a wash and polish to get some oily marks and bird poo off it.

I fitted electric sunroof controls today. Vectra surrounds should fit as a direct replacement on a Corsa but the one I have seems too big like the ones from the Carlton. It has a bit of a gap between the surround side and the roof lining and it is wider than the old one. Still managed to get it to fit so it will do for the time being whilst I seek a replacement.

Taking the old surround off:

Then the manual mechanism comes off:

And the motor fitted in its place:

My really tidy wiring:

All back together and fully operational:

Back box should get here tomorrow so when it does I'll pop over the road to Leamoco and get some exhaust putty and a new clamp and get it fitted :)
