Corsa B Blue More Door was created by nibnob21
Hi Guys I'm Robin.

This is my second car. I got it a year ago exactly and it came with Tax, MOT, Full Service History and a set of Vauxhall Tigra Alloys. I've copied and edited some of my posts from my project thread on another forum to show you what I have :)

This is how it was when I collected it 27/02/2010:

Here is a list of everything that had been done to the car at around November last year (2010):
  • Stebel nautilus horn[/*:m]
  • Orange tigra needles[/*:m]
  • Lights on warning buzzer[/*:m]
  • Interior ceiling handles[/*:m]
  • Mirror sun visors[/*:m]
  • Vectra smoked interior map light[/*:m]
  • Corsa C sunglasses holder[/*:m]
  • New rear number plate light[/*:m]
  • Tinted standard rear lights[/*:m]
  • Tigra scuttle panel[/*:m]
  • Underseat tray[/*:m]
  • Vectra chrome door handles[/*:m]
  • Uprated shocks[/*:m]
  • Lowering springs[/*:m]
  • Colour coded bodywork[/*:m]
  • Boot light[/*:m]
  • Cigarette lighter[/*:m]
  • Drilled airbox[/*:m]
  • Post 97 front bumper[/*:m]
  • Debadged mesh grille[/*:m]
  • Colour coded post 97 boot lock surround[/*:m]
  • Number plate surrounds[/*:m]
  • Clean ICV[/*:m]
  • Clean throttle body[/*:m]
  • 3rd brake light[/*:m]
  • Black angel eyes[/*:m]
  • Smoked side repeaters[/*:m]
  • Debadged boot[/*:m]
  • Debadged doors[/*:m]
  • Beesting aerial[/*:m]
  • Exhaust tip[/*:m]
  • Blue LED interior lights[/*:m]
  • Pressed plates[/*:m]
  • Aero flat wipers[/*:m]
  • Resprayed wiper arms[/*:m]
  • Derestricted airbox[/*:m]
  • M3 mirrors[/*:m]
  • Flush interior wing mirror covers[/*:m]
  • Black leather look seat covers[/*:m]
  • Kenwood head unit[/*:m]
  • FLI front speakers[/*:m]
  • Alpine rear speakers[/*:m]
  • SMD sidelights[/*:m]
  • 15" irmscher softstars[/*:m][/list:u]

Here's how the car stood after all of that:

I gave it a good service in which a K&N panel air filter was added. Also some of the blue interior LEDs were replaced with white ones. I also fitted some Depo smoked headlights and I added the beam adjuster motors to them. I also added a 3 spoke steering wheel from a Corsa SRi. I also resprayed the wiper arms gloss black.

Here's a list of all future plans:
    • 5 door spoiler[/*:m]
    • Gloss black scuttle panel[/*:m]
    • Gloss black exterior door handles[/*:m]
    • Gloss black some interior parts of the dash[/*:m]
    • Front mud flaps[/*:m]
    • New brake discs, pads and shoes[/*:m]
    • Genuine pressed metal number plates from Germany[/*:m]
    • Tailored fit black mats[/*:m]
    • Full wash, clay and polish[/*:m]
    • Clean interior[/*:m]
    • Hammerite the calipers blue and the drums black[/*:m]
    • Strip bumpers back to standard or re colour code[/*:m]
    • New gear gaiter[/*:m]
    • 5 door wind deflectors[/*:m]
    • Swap mesh grille for Steinmetz or slatted grille[/*:m]
    • Chrome bonnet gas struts[/*:m][/list:u]

I managed to pick up a spoiler from eBay for a good price and have started prepping it.

I also managed to find some second hand Plasma Dials on eBay for not a lot :) So they have been fitted now (and the temp needle is back on before anyone mentions it :P).

      Now here's the latest update 26/02/2011 :)

I bought some Bilt Hamber clay, Tailored fit mats, Proper pressed plates from Germany, Mintex brake discs and brake pads set, Ferodo brake shoes, Black and Blue Hammerite for Drums and Calipers and engine bay and last but not least, these...

...some Rondell 0058's which arrived Yesterday :)

Some slight lip damage and marking but the rest of my car isn't exactly perfect so I'm not too fussed by it, they still look great as long as you're not full on up close lol.

I was going to get the brakes all changed today but due to it raining loads last night the ground was still wet, so I didn't really want to be rolling around on the floor.

I have however got some other things done. I managed to fix one of my speakers that was playing up due to the window knocking the wires when it would get wound down. I'd bodged it a few times but today I completely stripped the door down to properly sort out the wiring.

I have given the interior a good clean and put in my new mats. Such a massive improvement to the disgusting tacky universal fit ones that were in the car when I got it.

      ]

To finish tidying up the interior all I'm bothered about now really is getting a few small bits gloss black and getting a new gear stick gaiter.

Today I also gave it a wash and I clayed it for the first time too. What a bloody pain in the arse claying is though! Took bloomin ages but I'll be giving the car a good polish tomorrow with Autoglym Ultra Deep Shine which should leave it gleaming!!! :)

And here's the state of the clay after literally just a couple of rubs over the bottom of the front door. I definitely need to get my front mud flaps fitted lol.

The clay also managed to get rid of some really stubborn white overspray on the rear bumper that has been there since I got the car. I've never been able to get rid of it but with a bit of elbow grease and this clay it's come right off! Really happy about that! :)

      Comments and criticism welcome.

Cheers, appreciate the feedback.

I'm a member on AllCorsa.co.uk and there are a few good 5 doors on there. We often convert 5 door 'dislikers' though so you've been warned Trust me, it'll grow on you lol.

Haha I was wondering if someone would ask that lol. I'm from Devon but go to the University of Warwick so live in Leamington during term time. The first batch of pictures after the ones from when I picked the car up were taken at my Grandparent's house near Henley-On-Thames except for the last 3 which were at my Girlfriend's house in Devon. Grandparent's house is pretty sweet but remember that is near Henley...Boris Johnson and Tory breading ground where if you don't own a Range Rover or Volvo Estate then you're considered poor Just want to make it clear I am NOT like that at all lol. You can see in the lot of pictures where the headlights and filters were changed that the surroundings are unmistakably South Leam lol.

Cheers :) I really don't like big bodykits and stuff like that unless it's on a Jap car really. I think cars like Corsa's, Saxo's, Fiesta's etc should be kept far more discreet and subtle.

Which wheels you on about? The Irmscher Softstars that are on the car or the Rondell 0058's?

Ahh that old classic saying lol. To be honest I prefer the 5 door Corsa B to the 3 door anyway. Plus it's more practical having 5 doors as I frequently have people in the back so it means I don't have to fanny about waiting for them to get in the car before I can.
