induction??

induction kits or panel filters
DISCUSS!

i think that uprated panel filters are better then inductions kits because they suffer less from heat soak however don't sound as good as induction roar

i have no idea what either are

an induction kit commonly slows you down as it doesnt get a cold air feed,ducted intakes are the way to go,im in the process of making one for my car.

well im going to hijack the thread... its kind of related...

induction kit for my fiesta zetec...
K&amp;N, Pipercross, Powertec...

i fancy a powertec, they just looks better made, and i think the pipercross foamy ones look a bit naff

opinions?

well i might fork out some wedge and get a BMC or CDA, that will be nice and chilly

looking at the airbox on my engine, and the length of induction pipe in the kit, it looks like the filter will be pretty much next to the block... which isnt good... and cold ducting pipes look a bit rubbish and pointless unless the feed entrance is properly cut into the bodywork - which i dont really want to do...
so what i plan is to find some more pipe of the same diameter to the induction kit...and move thefilter down into the bay where there is lots of space and lots of air...away from the block... hmmm
maybe ill just try and find a nice filter and then make my own kit...
