steering wheel wobble was created by ashleysmith
fitted new wheels.... yay

going 30... fine
going 40... fine
going 50... bit of vibration
going 60... bit more
going 70... f**k me how much vibration..

looking round the tinternet it seems that it could be wheel, could be tracking, could be tyres...

however i have just had new tyres on, fitted by a pro and balanced, so that rules that out
tracking maybe? have gone from 13's to 15's would that make a difference to the tracking?

dont think they are buckled.. otherwise the chap who fitted the tyres would've said

help guys
Ash

check if the rims are straight and jack the car up and grab the top and bottom of the wheel and try wobble it and see if there is any play in the balljoint or in the strut top then go from side to side to see if there is any play in the steering rack if that fails then get it tracked

Tracking may need checking again or it could be the hub. Id try some spiggot rings.

Mine does the same at the mo, over 75 an it wobbles like a bitch! An been told it may be my wheel bearing. Is there any squeaking? Any noises unusual?

Might have had a few weights fall off in transit/ yesterday :-S got one rebalanced today (tiny bit of up/down but nothing too bad,) getting tracked an the others checked tomorrow. However after the guy rebalanced the front right wheel it wasn't as bad on the bypass, hopefully that's the cure

its got nothing to do with tracking your "pro balancer" was obviously a numpty go back and get them to do it again it is your balancing that or your wheels buckled easy fix put the buckled one on the rear axle

no unusual noises at all...

however have noticed something else today.... when i turned into my street today, the steering wheel didnt centre itself like it usually does.... tbh i'm getting a bit annoyed with "improvements" that dont work/or need extra work on top of what is being done, why don't things ever go right first time?

right use a differant garage im guessing you had the tracking done by the same pro balancer? basically he should of clamped your steering wheel in the centre before doing the alignment by sounds of it he didnt get it clamped dead centre... where are you getting your work done?
