Oh how there is so much contradictions to HIDs! I won’t be surprised if another conversation crops up here about them. But I know what I done and I understand! A lot! So here goes! – oh and I got it because my bulbs needed replacing anyways.

SOURCED FROM
Ebay – user name is “detailerz” link: http://myworld.ebay.co.uk/detailerz&ssPageName=STRK:MEFSX:SELLERID&_trksid=p3984.m1543.l2533
GOOD POINTS
In the long run, this is by far the cheaper option. maybe it probably is just me, but I have found out that I kept having to replace the bulbs whether that meant I got a good pair or not. But after I bought my HID conversion for my astra, I haven’t had to replace it. YET. Lol! Other good points to point are the obvious ones and that is the appearance of it. You cant deny it, but the look of having HIDs really does upgrade the car a lot.
BAD POINTS
Anyone that has experienced can say the same thing, but fitting this on was a nightmare! I don’t even have big hands and the package size the manufacture designed to the astra h is unbelievable! Suppose it has to go with the times, but with a lot of patience you can get this all done. One thing I did notice when doing this, was the fact I didn’t have the bulb holder with me, so I bought some from ebay. There not too hard but is definitely essential if you haven’t been applied with one. One other thing I would recommend is getting H7RC bulbs if you are going to retrofit to the OEM headlights. The normal bulbs will fit with some tweeking but H7RC bulbs will fit perfectly and the best thing is, its compact and antiglare. (although really, we all know its illegal to do it altogether!)

Nice progress Sal
Oh and this log 'schmitt' reminds me of 'schmidt' from New Girl every time I read the title, not that I watch that show or anything!

I know what you mean!!! it was very very sunny!!! the bar was quite nice to cool down too.. how did you find the show?
It was my first show so don't really have anything to compare it too but I did enjoy it. Looking forward to Trax as PVS did start to get slightly repetitive having to look at only Vauxhalls all day.

So tints had to be done to the car. For a little cost it makes such a difference. I only went for 80% at the back and apparently 25% at the front although it looks much darker?!? Lol!

SOURCED FROM
Sourced locally with the price coming to a £100 for all 5 windows! Not bad I don’t think. As far I’m aware though, the business has either moved or gone bust, but it was very local to me which made it ideal.
GOOD POINTS
Very well priced and came with life time warrantee. I know this business has gone but for someone to guarantee that shows the quality that they hold in their business! Worth the job all around!
BAD POINTS
I can’t really think of any bad points about this really. As of now, ive got no major bubbles or marks so its really stood up to its reliability. JOB DONE!

lol!
have to apologize for not being much... at all. its just that with work and other commitments and find time so damn hard now. literally right now i am as tired as fuuuk, but im soldering on through this month of ramadan too!
anyways cant decide how i want my thread to look. always like to be consistant. and since i dont go on much at any of the club sites. i thought i should just post what i did last month. makes sense to me. so here goes. im going to give this a try.
JUNE
TO BE FIXED
• Broken front splitter
Cracked while I was going up a ramp trying to do a 3 point turn! Lol! DOH.
• Turbo noise –
• Electric window buttons (both sides) –
• New front driver side wiper blade (maybe) – only very little sounds coming from the driver side wiper, but because its repetitive, its driving me nuts. Will replace in the future if needs be but I am aware of it now.
• Detail bodywork – some panels on the car really need looking at. I may consider wrapping if the cost is the same amount.
• Back door handle stiffness problem (both) – my back doors never get used much. Should of got a two seater every time I think about it, but it happens to be a little bit stiff to open from the outside. Will need to look into that in the future.
• Steering alignment
Tried my hardest to show you all visually how it is. The steering is set slightly to the right (not as much as this) and so that needs to be done. I have noticed this has happened ever since I got my clutch and flywheel replaced, so im not going to that garage anymore!
• Navi screen needs replacing at some point, otherwise working all well.
• Subwoofer problem -
• New tyre ready for MOT – thought id splash myself a little so I bought toyo proxies t1r (225/40/18) for a price of £96 including delivery on ebay. Very good price and im aware its cheap but as soon as its on ill give you my verdict. Heres a picture. Let me know what you think.
FUTURE MODS
• New headlights
• Light brows
• Exhaust system
• Air ride or coil overs
• 19 inch alloys
• Update the head unit
• Install in back
• Re-trim or half leather interior
• Cruise control
• Engine upgrades
• Tyre upgrades
• Brake upgrades
will eventually get around to all this. just so far i need to spend my "wealth" elsewhere! <!-- s8-) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_cool.gif" alt="
