but for 20k the performance spec is a bit lame are they turbo'd at all?? Seen them on auto trader 2.0L 200bhp
I must disagree.. Since when does the amount you pay translate into how much horsepower it's got? You could pay 20k for some much less powerful cars. Or pay 2K for some much more powerful cars.
I actually think it's quite refreshing to see an agressive looking rear wheel jap coupe which doesn't have an enormous engine and turbos banged on it.
To be fair I don't recall 200bhp rwd n/a 2.0L ever being lame haha.
(I'm not just being a bitch cause he's my mate by the way haha, this is my actual opinion)
Bloody hell han just cos its a Toyota pmsl
I was only stating the fact that its a sheep in wolfs clothing as it looks mean as fook but it would get smoked by a whole host of things and 20k would buy you big power nowadays

Agreed you can buy more powerful cars for the money, you can for £1k if you're happy with a dated shed, but none will turn heads like this! All modern cars are more aggressive looking, better that way if you ask me, than having something powerful that looks dull

Love that review, not really a big fan of his reviews as they're not always the most accurate but he does make some amusing comments in that one.
Like Vlad said, for the money, I could have easily brought a more powerful car to "smoke" people but traffic light racing isn't for me, it's all about the twisties and this car is all about balance for an awesome drive, read any review and they will mention the word balance somewhere. The handling is very balanced, with an almost 50:50 weight distribution and a lower centre of gravity compared to most sports cars, the rear slips progressively and doesn't snap and it's not overly powerful or torquey but definitely not underpowered. This also carries over to the financial side too as it's not exactly cheap but not overly expensive and still reasonably cheap to run, insurance was the same as my Clio 200, tax is now slightly cheaper and I get more mileage if I was to drive sensibly, getting a more powerful car for this money would have meant more money on insurance, tax and petrol.....and you can't go wrong with a 5 year warranty.
