Hey guys, I'm looking to get a de-cat for my car to free things up a bit
I was wondering if anyone knew any places that could do it for a decent price?
In or around Coventry would be best
Cheers folks

id have to dissagree with you about them being good. Ive had good service from them years ago but more recently they seem a bit shit. Think Han will agree with me on this one.

I found Crackley garage (powerflow dealer) really helpful when I had my exhaust altered, could just try giving them a ring to see what they're like price wise

It varies from car to car, but the general notion I get from decats is more noise, alittle bit of power gain, but little bit of torque loss
After Han had a decat his car was dyno'd and didnt gain anything in BHP, no word on torque
Not helped that our ECUs cant be touched
At Crackley for a silencer to be removed and the rear tip extended I paid £86, Im guessing decat would be the same amount of work as removing the silencer... so hard to judge it!

MIJ quoted me £90 for a decat pipe but i think that is just a bit of pipe to replace the cat.
A decat will only make a small difference in bhp/torque to a turbo'd engine & allow the turbo to spool up quick & help the the engine to run freely so more for fine tuning but you would lose power on a non turbo'd as they need backpressure & would need a remap to get it working nice agian.
Im getting my cat for xmas as nexted year its uprated IC, Hybird turbo & a custom map to finish it all off.

Keep the pipe smaller from the manifold to the decat pipe to keep the back pressure
