sub and amp not working

Pull the fuse out, its right next to the power cable terminal. The two pins that come out of the plastic part of the fuse run inside and connect them both by a small piece of metal - just hold it up to the light and see if its still connected. If not, then buy another - not sure if you should go for something higher though, let me know what size it was

Yeah if its melted inside thats it blown, there was a 40 in mine and it ran fine so buy or find a 40 to replace it - if you blow that one too your cranking it too much! May have to turn down the gain or super bass

You should have a spare fuse about, find your interior fusebox and one should be in there I think... any of the focus crew can shed some light on where it would be?

The power light will only come on with your stereo, the remote lead is a small amount of power that tells the amp to turn on. If you used a piece of wire directly from the live cable to the remote this does the same job so you can see if it turns on - but you dont want to leave it like this as it will constantly be on then

Ah could be, I dont see any spares though!

As Readie said though, just double check where the brown earth cable goes that its making contact with bear metal - didnt really check with the rush I was in
