coilover problems :-( was created by Bountyman.c2
so i bought some raceland coilovers for my c2 and took them to a garage to be fitted. after about an hour had acall to say they couldnt fit them as the bottom of the strut doesnt fit into the hub sleeve.
this is a common problem as the c2 forum states. just wondering if anyone can offer up ideas on getting them to fit ie pulling the sleev apart.

All the info should be on the c2 club, you made sure they're not for the C3 or C4 as Ive noticed afew complaints of getting sent the wrong ones? Plus the garage do a lot of coilovers? Make sure you're sending it to someone that knows what their doing!
Did spot some bits though....
So either need opening up with the tool or machining down

http://c2club.co.uk/showthread.php?1527 ... t-fit-helpYou need a tool to open the sleeve in the hub they sit in . You take the top mounts of the standard shocks and re use them on the race lands .
http://c2club.co.uk/showthread.php?1845 ... ds-on-eBayproblem was getting the suspension arm into the hub it's not a problem for me as I can machine them down to fit right at work.
