Majority go for iPhone but the HTC is a cheaper alternative that is just as good

iPhone is the popular choice, but you pay for it - iPhone 5 is [i:3mk7a1xz]apparently[/i:3mk7a1xz] on the way in a month or two though!
Samsung Galaxy S2 has the slight edge with hardware, larger memory etc
HTC Sensation is a close match to the Galaxy S2 but has poor memory (SD does all the work), but it has a much better UI and is a good all rounder

Well I have the chance to swap my iPhone 4 for a s2 so I am in two minds what to do
