Following on from my random comments about AWP headshots in this week's daily chat, does anyone else actually play this? Or any other PC game for that matter - TFC? Unreal Tournament?

Or are you all Xbox/PS3 folk...?

I occasionally play old-skool games like Battlefield 1942 online on the PC, but thats about where it ends. I'm more of an Xbox man.

There's a reason I've never played WoW and that's it. That said though, I did download the Eve client the other day and there's a credit card sat on my desk... <!-- s:shock: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_eek.gif" alt=":shock:" title="Shocked" /><!-- s:shock: -->

It is a brilliant, brilliant game. I used to watch my brother playing it and be like, &quot;what is all the fuss about?&quot; but then when you actually sit down and start playing, time just dissolves. It's really bad. The summer of my A-Levels was the worst time I think. Get up at 7, get a drink, play WoW all day, realise it's 11pm and I hadn't eaten or moved, go to bed. Start again the next day. It's life destryoing. I don't know anyone who can play it in a &quot;controlled&quot; way. Like a few hours here and there. You're either in it or you're not. My WoW CDs are currently hidden away somewhere in my attic to stop me playing them... However, I've 'frozen' my WoW account, just in case I have the need to take my Paladin to the field again !

Is Eve actually any good? I've heard good things about it.

Yeah, I really enjoy it. From Shanners' description of WoW up there, it's similar... except spacey. I think it still has the record for the largest number of players in a single server, and I wouldn't be surprised if the Eve universe isn't larger than WoW, although the latter clearly has more players.

It's pretty hard work though, got to keep logging in to check on the training of your character... but I guess WoW's the same?

Anyone played SPORE? With the little evolving creatures? It's pretty funky but I stopped playing that one when my PC packed up a few months ago.
