Are you using any special characters? There has been a database problem for a while that we are trying to fix, it looks as if it may be connected

Nope, I just wrote the address and phone number out for a hotel and it said that.

Looks like PhpBB isn't parsing data correctly before it hands it over to the DB, I'd check what sanity functions post.php has in place, all else fails - UPGRADE!
You could also try to repair & then optimize ur DB (in that order, and then reverse it).

Its the code language settings in the mysql, along with acouple of other db settings. We are looking into it (we may have to hire some help!)
