Well its here again. 365 days have flown by at break neck speed as we now reach out to the season ending Halloween Bonfire Burn Up drag races this weekend (October 27th/28th) at Long Marston Airfield’s Shakespeare County Raceway. This is a unique event with all the fun of Halloween including the famous ghoulish Halloween Ball costume contests at the devils own laired known as Kenny’s Bar, and for the kids its all day ‘trick or treating’.

The racing action features the Supercharged Outlaws Shootout with thundering 200 mph dragsters, altereds and doorslammers, the Kawasaki Super Eliminator with entries from the UK and from Germany (!), the final time trails for some of the wildest bone crunching street cars in the UK – Outlaw Street and the Japanese and European based Pro Street Drag Series.

The weekend also features an open Public Track Weekend for Run What Ya Brung. Anything goes from blood curdling street cars to the frightening world of modded cars, trucks, super fast street bikes, and devilish drag race bikes! If it’s got wheels scare yourself and race at Shakey’s world record holding quarter mile drags strip.

In the pits why not dress you trailer up to be the best Halloween horror of the year. There will be also prizes for the best pumpkin design on a car or motorcycle as one for the best smoketastical burnout of the weekend.

And that’s not all Sunday sees the Halloween Gamblers Drag Race for money as well as trophies and goodies from the raceway’s many supporters. Its also old time drag races for the National Sprint Association drag bikes, plus club action from the Renault Clio Sport and Clio 16 Valver Clubs.

And, of course, what makes Saturday evening so special at the drag strip, flame burnouts, fireworks and the traditional monster bonfire. How can you afford to miss all this fun!

But perhaps above and beyond everything else that occurs at the Bonfire Burn Up - it’s the family atmosphere and all the fun for both young and old that truly makes this event something special. Remember to bring all the kids on Saturday afternoon for the costume party and trick or treating. We guarantee—they’ll have a blast.

There’s also the adults costume party later in the evening hosted by Santa Satan promises to be as lively as ever accompanied by musical entertainment from Wendy’s disco.

So why miss out. Take a trip out to Shakey land for a weekend of super fast spooktastic fun at the drag strip. Advance tickets are available now by calling 01789 414119 or on the day at £12 per person each day or £22 for a weekend pass. Track fee is £25 per person per day or £40 for the weekend, and don’t forget you drivers licence and crash helmet.
