Public Track Weekend Sept 29th/30th was created by Shakespeare
It’s a Club Day weekend here at Long Marston Airfield’s Shakespeare County Raceway and what better way to spend it is a chance for your car or bike club to get involved in one of the easiest and cheapest participation sports in all of motor sports - Run What Ya Brung and test its performance! Push your vehicle to the max in a safe and controlled environment, settle a score with a friend, or go against the clock to improve your own times! The choice is yours.

Sunday has also been set aside for fans of the legendary 'blue oval’ badge including racers from the Old Skool Ford Club competing in a very special season long Drag Challenge. Everything from MK1 Cortinas, Escorts and 100E Pops will be here to entertain in a style of old time Ford drag racing. Ford clubs are also welcome to attend, enter our show and shine, take out a stand or even things up in a club challenge to find the quickest Ford of the day.

There will also be action from the Cruise Mids v Streetrace Shootout, Honda Drag Series, Z Club Bracket Challenge, Scooters and the AMC Street Bike Challenge where every rider entered on Sunday stands an equal chance of winning a trophy and vouchers as the Quickest Street Biker of the day.

Gates open at 8.00am Saturday with the drag strip being available from 10.00am through to 5.00pm (track and weather conditions permitting). Catering and bar facilities will be open for all you requirements. Admission is £12 per person per day or £22 per person for the weekend (under 16’s free). Track fee is £25 per person or £40 for the weekend of unlimited fun! There's no pre booking either. Just arrive at the track and we'll take care of the rest. See our Run What Ya Brung web site page http://www.shakespearecountyraceway.com/rwyb.asp for details or check out our Safety Requirements pdf page from the Downloads section of the Shakespeare County Raceway web site.
