My car has a hole in the door too, but that isnt the way to do it! There will be a rubber gromit of some sort, just find that and feed it through that way and keep clear of the doors if you can

bit of a update,lol
after lot of f word trying to find holes (engine bay to inside) for 12v cable for amps sorted at last
cd changer also fitted&cable in
rca leads&remote lead next to sort out,

i dont want to put amp&sub in untill its covered up wires are ready to be linked up to amp also

part 2 update
bottom with shelf turned over showing speakers
top with nothing showing
then is in side the car (were the wood is showing that is covered now)
at the same time amp&sub see were best place to fit (progress on that soon)
