Here's some piccies on how I'm managing to get my car to sit lower the front I got sitting rather well but the back I wasn't pleased with so here's what I've done to gain more mms
This was the original setup with a HUGE castor on top of the bag it measure 27mm thick
So removing the bag and castor revealed this
Not really what I was expecting I was hoping I could just shave the castor down instead I had to have a redesign
(Basically the bag screws in on that thread and the castor covers the original spring mount this will be cut of to fit new mount)
So I did some measuring and came up with a new design for mounting the bag so I made these up at work
These are 10mm thick and have 6 counter bored holes for 6mm cap head screws you might be thinking its bad that I'm going to screw it to the car I will be and then they will be welded in place only screwed just to get the position right the hole in the middle will be for a 3/8" screw to attach the bag to the mount
From all this I can gain 17mm therefore making the arch tuck behind the lip of the wheel with the old nasty castor in it sits like this on on back
Regarding the front I've cut the inner arch back by 15mm due to it was sitting on the tyre and just doing this made a huge difference and with fitting 165/40 tyres helped
So here's the 165/40 on a 8j
This was how the car sat
The front bumper
And sills
Then a quick look underneath
Can't get a 5p coin under
Although I noticed this which don't help once this is sorted it should make it touch the floor
Comments welcome
