Hello was created by JSCE Automotive
Hi,
Having given into peer pressure from a few people in Rugby, i have joined the forum.
I am the owner of the red Maestro that is frequently seen around Rugby. To end the speculation, it is not a normal maestro turbo, it has a fully bespoke engine built by myself installed onto a modified gearbox, it produces upto 360bhp depending on where you set the ECU control. This car was built for the WTF value - i bought it as a standard 8V mg maestro and the last person to see it off in its old guise was a white Peugeot 106 at the M6 roundabout about 2 years ago, I then installed the engine, ran it round for a while and when all was well and run in, I installed the modified ecu. The car weighs one ton dead and because of the bespoke variable vane turbo it will deliver 16psi boost from 2000rpm. I have not been seen off by a single car (in the dry) since fitting the engine, Imprezas, EVO FQ430s, Focus STs, Sierra cosworths and even a porsche 911 have fallen foul.
A bit of background, I am an engineer, i mainly work with 1,200bhp tank engines and other big diesels (from powerboats to an 18,000bhp V16 tractorpull machine) I also do a lot of special effects and AV work (touring systems, not car systems) I manufacture/modify the majority of engine components myself in-house.
I have several other sleepers, a 1000bhp 4wd spaceframed hatchback (not telling people the make / model) which will be seen in rugby again shortly and I'm currently working on a 5.7litre 32v V8 mid engined rear wheel drive hatchback which will be finished this winter

PS: George: I will catch up with you and your dad again soon
