Was that the red one you posted on facebook? I'll have to ask Mike see what he says as we looked at a couple of classics before buying our blob

check for whines on the diffs.. find out when the diff ouls were last changed... check the gearbox every gear....they tend to go in 2nd due to being launched alot...and trust me there a ball ache to change ha. other than that... start it from stone cold...check the block by hand before seeing it started... listen for any tapping or slapping from the pistons and check it doesnt drip any oil... gasket changes are a bitch.
Hard to find a tidy one... just find one with some decent service that someones looked after warmed up/cooled down and not one thats been thrashed every day of its life

iv got a spare rear diff somewhere if you ever need one ha.. iv had two classics a wagon and a saloon one was a uk 240 brake and one was import but 330 brake.. TD05 is definetly the way forward.. 330 was all i could squeeze on the standard injectors etc.. THWAITS DEVELOPMENTS in warwick are the people to speak to

Yeah the fella down Thwaites is pretty good.
Same issues as with all cars really, odd noises, ensure it runs smooth from cold and so on. Check the tops where the suspension bolts in for rust as this can cost to get sorted.
Happy to go have a nose if you want a second pair of eyes on a motor.

Pretty sure I'm likely to be around. I assume the owner is someone you know?
