Any HGV drivers?

Anyone know if i can go straight for my class 2 instead of fannying around doing a class 3? i'm 18 and had my license since feb 2009, i can't find out anywere and the HGV training bloke doesn't know, the fool!! lol!

not 100% sure on the age thing but i didnt have to do class 3, i just went straight to class 2. Im 22 so not sure if that makes any diff

could you already drive 7.5 tonners on your car license tho?

not that im aware of, i think they stopped that quite a while back

7.5ton can drive on a car license if u pass your test before 1997 which I doing

speak to benzetecs his mum and daddy run a company to do with truckies so he be best person to speak to

yeah, they changed it in 2009 so that you couldn't drive 7.5 tonners on your car license, but some people have said that i can jump straight to class 2/class c rather than doing a class 3/class c1 but i can't find anything to back up the these comments but spose ill find out soon as im going for medical next week then provisonal will come soon after then i hope it will all happen quickly lol!
