Best way to remove paint was created by richie
im thinking of different ways to have my boot and bonnet done in black what is the best way to remove the existing paint but not that it wont damge the metal and making sure the primer will stay on and not just run off

well i brought a black boot and bonnet it came last night at 11pm it looked black but today when the sun shone on it it looked really dark purple

yea as said,wet and dry it to fluff it up,then get involved with rattle cans if its a matte finish you are after

sand it down
primer it up real smooth
gloss paint
let it dry properly in between coats
couple of coats of lacquer
should do the job?

yeah sounds the best way to do it thanks shanners ill be on it over the next week or so and i finally got a replacement boot lid woo =D
