So... I've been driving 10 years

Still waiting on my renewed driving license to be sent back, but thought Id give everyone a heads up as I didn't realise you had to have it done, and they only send out one reminder which if you're naughty and havent updated your home address, you'll never get it!

Check the section 4b. on your license, thats the expiry date, as the DVLA requests them to be updated every 10 years, basically due to your appearance aging/changing. If the DVLA get wind of the expired license its a £1,000 fine. It costs £20 to renew it, If you have a new digital passport it will take you just afew mins to do it online, or by post but you need to include a passport type photo, or they'll do it at a post office too (but add £4.50 for the photo to be taken by them iirc)

If you got your license before 1998 you'll just have the paper type and dont need to renew until your 70 (for free) or the year 2033
