Had my old one fitted about six weeks ago, but it developed a nasty rattle at 2000rmp (the baffles were completley fooked) fairplay to the guys down at pumabuild they swaped it no questions asked, so the mighty roar of the piper is back to working order!!
While i was there i got chatting to the guys about a new custom map for the ST, as the one im running is a 'mistery map' (previous owner) that came with the car.
So in 3 weeks its back to pumabuild to have the car linked up to their laptop to try and figure out what im running. And a cais induction kit fitted.
Once thats done its being hooked up to the rollers for a few power runs and the custom stage3 mapping to begin, hopefully the guys say that i should acheive somewhere in the reigon of 330bhp with the mods that im running.
So watch this space in the next few weeks ill post the before and after graphs here once the work is completed.

So why is the cais induction kit better than the dream science other than sound?

And for the same sort of results id mise aswell go down the pumabuild route,
CAIS stands for Cold Air Intake System and the dreamscience kit is one too, pumabuild induction is a closed intake, and the dreamscience is an open cone under the front fog light so thats why it sounds better. Performance wise there is little between them,
The dreamscience gives better turbo chatter and a louder roar. If i can find one between now and the 29th ill get one and fit it.
Map wise pumabuild are basicaly Dreamscience maps, but im going for a custom pumabuild map to suit my cars modifications so it gets optimum results,
Collins are (dont quote me on this) set one shot tunes. that are loaded to your car depending what stage you are running but are very good in their own right. Good thing about colins is that they are progressive maps that learn certain modifications added at later stages.
So yes nick its pumabuild all the way on the 29th
Ill be happy with as near to 330bhp makes no difference as i dont want to split my liners.
Its all down to the first set of power runs i do as I may not even need it mapping again as the 'mistery map' im running now may even be producing decent figures with the mods ive got.
It will be good to find out what map im running though.

As for the clutch get a after market performance clutch just as good with out the price tag.
P.s i need to get anew car, i could get mine upto 260/70bhp but nexted year but thats with a hybrid turbo, ic & injectors.

Is the one in your pic an Auto Specialist one?? The pumabuild is exactly the same, i think they may even use AS or Code Red but im not sure.
Heres the pumabuild one
Jelousy will get you nowhere nick, i havent even contemplated getting a hybrid yet thats extensive engine work like the block mod thats a whole different story.
Clutch wise mate ill put a thread up on focusrsoc and get one off there for a decent price and maybe some rs injectors too (but thats another map again)
Where do we draw the line??
