so like bogging down, could be induction kit putting to much air in as its cold? try fitting the old 1 and see if it makes much difference...

I've got a 1.8 Focus aswell. Probably not much wrong with yours- they're just slow. To be honest there's not alot you can do with these engines with just bolt on mods.

its in ur garage with a colin mcrae style front end that might b wats slowin it down lol
if u put a 4-2-1 on a focus it replaces the cat with a straight thru section
but if want more power drop a 2litre black top zetec in cams pulleys bla bla bla 1800 and 2000cc zetecs respond well to tuning can be turbo'd or supercharged but 1st fings 1st GET THE FRONT END FIXED!! <!-- s:lol: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_lol.gif" alt="" title="Laughing" /><!-- s:lol: --> lol

But how much power will it push out for the amount you end up spending on it? Not a huge amount is my guess; and you'll still only end up with an average-ish power figure.

I dont know a huge amount about tuning but I'm sure you can probably make it a bit more responsive but dont expect big gains.

u big nob the only reason it was ''laggin'' was cus i had 5 people in the car its reasonbly quick but focus's are well known in the ford scene for there handling abilities n your 1 sticks like shit to blanket... well it did lol

depending on how much you want to spend look at the st170 thats basically a 2litre zetec thats been fettled ive seen plenty of zetecs putting out 200bhp + by going turbo'd for a grand n a half torque of the devil suply a bolt on supercharger package if u want to no what can be done check out sites like zetec inside escort evolutin and passionford might suprise u lol
