MOT and emissions test !

ok i have my mot in a few months and i know the one thing i will fail on is emissions test .
whats the best way to solve this .

iv asked on the minifinity site but iv had no answer HELP !

you got a cat? best thing to do with a cat is drive the car about for ages or about 7 miles so it gets really hot or if you can get under car with blowtourch and heat the cat up for 10-15 mins heres a lil how it works ul see what i mean bout the blowy torch

if your car is older then j reg thats 1992 you dont need a cat and you dont get tested on it! well you do but theres no fail for it
or i belive if your engine is older then 1992 you also dont but not 100% sure on what or how

and if its a mini why not buy a new log book for it pre 72 free road tax few of my mates have old (new) minis and tht means no fail on emissions

yea i always woundered how a cat worked thought "magic" happend lol like a turbo
but i was looking at that zippo hand warmer thing and boom it clicked then googled how cat worksthts why if you take em off there still worth quite alot at a mettal yard due to the platinum in themthats why they cost so much from new
