Diesel ECU remap? Chipping? was created by DIDDLY

Hey folks just got myself a Pug 307 2.0HDi XSi 136, i want to start with engine mods now the only things im used to doing is induction kits.

Where abouts in warwickshire could i get my HDi remaped? Plus is it worth it and what sort of power gaines we looking at?

Also what are aftermarket noisy dump valves like on diesel turbos, do they sound crap?

i believe dump valves on diesels just chug out black smoke...may be wrong.

Regards to a remap im not sure of the gains but isnt there any cheaper ways of squeezing extra power out, like as you said induction kits, sports exhaust etc.

Will have look at remapping today

Is yours the 16v hdi or normal hdi?

lol just looked at remap of your car...unsure on pricing at the moment but here is some info on gains
Peugeot 307 HDi
2005 onwards
Engine type : Turbo-Diesel
Engine size : 1997 cm3
Cylinders : 4

Original bhp : 136
Original nm : 320
BHP increase : 21
NM gain : 44
Lb/Ft gain : 32

DIDDLY, someone i know got there 306 done at angel tuning http://www.angeltuning.co.uk/ there in harbury

If Pacman had affected us as kids we'd be running around in dark rooms, munching pills and listening to repetitive music.

apparently remaps on diesels are worth the money as you get a better torque curve which you would feel more when driving,i have heard good things about angel tuning.

if youve got any other mods like a bigger intercooler or an induction kit get a unichip live mapped to your car.
as john said dreamscience not sur eif they do pug maps though.
also as above turbo's and diesels gain rom mapping as it plays with boost and diesels do get a big torque kick.
