HELP!!!

Right my moms got a Megane coupe 1.6 16v and i need an engine for it! as her head gasket went causing the car to over heat then melt the cambelt???? so anyne know of an engine goin for under 200 squid? or know the engine code? cheers

why not strip the engine n fix it?

well her cambelt snapped a few months ago and the bill was 800 quid to repair the engine!

800 pound haha...

Cambelt snapped has probs only bent a valve.. Ent the hardest thing in the world to get a new Valve and rebed them..

i woulda say it would cost anywhere near 800 lol

Head skimmed with new Cambelt.. and replace the bent valve or whateva valve damage. cant be that much.. my mates RS turbo has just had the cambelt go onit. bendin all the valves.. its cost him 80 to fix it. but he did do the work himself.

Id never pay Garage charges. sod that.. i used to.. But Forget that for a tale now..

Sit it on my drive under a Canopy and sorted ... Work on it my self!!

Re bedin valves ent hard.. Just gotta have them lil things u need to re bed them. time consuming more than anythink!!

But eitha way if ur changin the engine id still take the head off first see whats its actually done to the engine.. then ur half way there to which eva route u take

yeah the lapping tool bee cheaper to even just buy a head n wang it on the block?
