the vvc has more power but harder to fit but if i get a 1.8 non vvc it just plug an play but theres 55bhp difference so i puzzeld

1.6. Or the 1.8 ZT turbo lump. 1.6 is what you ideally want, the 1.8 takes forever to get grip, 1.6's just cope. Plus better on acceleration because not putting power down.
Or i may be able to get hold of a 1.4 gti engine which is better than both.. 105 bhp then turbo it
