HELP people!! was created by lewys
Right found out the problem with my car, its the ecu!
so what do i need to do to fix it? how do i make sure i get the right ecu? then when i get the right ecu what else do i need to do?
How much is it all going to cost roughly aswell? (i.e. is it worth it)

An ECU will only cost approx £30, with a little guidance im sure you could do it yourself. On your current ECU it should have the code or just google your model etc.

thats the thing though, surely i need a different ecu, otherwise mine would have worked.
so how do i find out which one i need? do i need to get a code off the engine or what? and if so where is the code?

I said 100% it would be the ECU
Speak to a Ford specialist of some sort, and just make sure you get an ECU that is the right compatability with that engine - you have to be precise otherwise it won't work. Worst case scenario is you need a special, gheyyy reconditioned one - like I had to have on the Cinq. Mine was £200 so I should imagine a common car like the Fez would be cheaper x
