My new mod - Depo Angel Eyes with TRS Bi xenons was created by sonicvanman
I have been busy over the last month with my new mod, over the last 2 years i have been trying to find the best Halogen bulb set up to get the best light & colour out put, but still it wasnt amazing compared to my girl friend & loddyC's Xenon lights, if i just went for a HID kit it would only be fitted to the low beam & not much use so after looking at the cost of OEM units it would be for new £1000+ OR £600-700 second hand, but then a fella on the BMW forum post up this mod & i was hooked & start buying the parts, so heres what i bought & did.
The Parts
Depo Angel Eye Headlights (Ebay) £200
LED T5 501 Bulbs x16 (Ebay) £30
TRS Morimoto Mini Stage III Kit (H1 5000k) http://www.theretrofitsource.com £200
Ring Sportz Blue 80w Halogen Bulbs £16
So Fitting new Bi Xenon projector units to the head lights mean that i have a low beam & high beam from the same unit & a second high beam from the Halogen light (As you need a halgen light still for flashing when your lights aren't on, as HIDs dont fire up quick enough)
Heres how they look inside, the flap up for low & down for high beam of course
First was to replacing the old yellow halogen bulbs in the angel eye rings to nice white/blue LEDs
Then i had to make some brackets so the new projectors would fix in my depo headlights & im very very luck one of my best friends has his own engineering business & did a amazing job so measured them up worked his magic on the computer then to the milling machine & after 4 hours we had some brackets, new units fitted then hook the wire for the flap up to the high bean halogen side then it was to fit the HID bulbs into the light units, fit the rest of the HID kit then tested it all & to fit it all into the car fully.
Im proper happy with the out come & the light out put is quality & one of my best mods.
I've updated my Progress log with lots of new photos to, take a look <!-- l --><a class="postlink-local" href=" www.warwickshiremodified.co.uk/viewtopic...opic.php?f=20&t=9495 [/url]<!-- l -->
Cheers

very well done there! looks really good. im fascinated to know which softwares you used to do the CAM work on the computer? ive used delcam power mill program btw, but this one seems very simplistic and easy to use. but anyways, it looks like it was a very well worth to be honist. whats next then?

Cheers peps
Sal He was using OneCNCxr5 Mill 3D Expert http://www.camforce.com/Products/Produc ... NCXR5.html it didnt look easy to use to me, next is a De-cat for xmas then Intercooler.
My mate normally charge £45 a hour & he would be happy to do any custom stuff but may end up costing more than you would want to pay, if he wasnt a mate it would have just been some simple metal plates.
