bmw aerial shark fin extra red wire was created by eddie4x

i bought this shark fin off a bmw and it comes with an extra wire the red! is this a built in booster or sumthing? any body know?

Built in amplifier. Stick to to the blue wire on the back of the stereo or to an ignition live. It grounds through its fixings.
