Fuse on amp keeps blowing was created by richie
got a fli 400s amp and every time it powers up the fuse blows ive tried all other fuse and does the same any ideas?

its ground correctly with paint scratched away good power and remote i cant work out why the fuse keeps blowing its a brand new amp

check that the positive wire aint touching earth, if not try a bigger fuse.

mate i have a fli 400 too and its just started doing exactly the same, fuck knows why!

Check all your wiring Id say, look for exposed areas maybe, something touching that shouldnt be!

Other than that a quick Google brings up this;

It sounds like one these two things has occurred:
1. One or both of your subs is blown/fried and they're drawing excessive power because of it.
2. The gain on your amp is set too high and you're hearing distortion and drawing too much power.

its all ok (wiring wise) its that bad that the amp is smoking and smells horrible like a hospital ill have another bash tomorrow

its using a 35amp the fuse it recommends and the power and earth arent touching as the remote is in between them

Ermmm that amp is now dead..... if it smells burnt out then you have fried the board. time for a new amp. btw wat was u running?

only tried to use it for a pair of 6x9s tomorrow i might open it up and have a look no harm in looking
