Depends on the power of your amps, its 1 farad per 1000w. You simply install it within a metre (closer the better though) to the power terminal of your amp, if they supply a bulb to slowly charge it when installing it though make sure you use it! (instructions should be included)

It just slows the flow of electricity to it, so still only takes seconds!

Make sure the ground is wired in and the amps + to the power caps +

Then put cars battery power to the bulb and then the bulb to the + teriminal of the power cap. Just let the bulb light up and the power cap hit and sit on the cars power (12-15)

Once done take the cars battery (+) away from the bulb and directly onto the power caps + too along with the amps on already on there... if that makes sense lol, then screw/secure it all down!
