Impreza Suspension update - Coil overs.

Time had come to Bin the STI suspension and Teing lowering springs in favour of a new set of Coil overs.
These will allow me to lower/Higher the car at will but also are fully adjustable by simply moving the adjuster at the top of each coil over.

Time to remove the old Pink Sti Stuff




In with the New Spax Coil over kit


Once all fitted and happy with ride height - Off to get all set up on computer alignment "Hunter" System
As you can see it was a mile out to start with.

I set up by eye but shows how important to get set up correctly. The Spax coil overs allowed massive Camber in the front and rear which would give me loads of grip and eliminate understeer but would have ripped the edges off my tyres so went with not so much camber so it was a balance between grip and tyre life.




The Car handles Nice was very much on the edge before getting set up properly - nice neutral steer and the Coil overs are not to hard and rides nice over the bumps - still need to play around with the damper setting but not far off - look forward to some track days now - will be able harden the suspension the sofen it back up for the trip home.
