Colin Mcrae Dirt 2

Does any one have this game yet and is it any good, i played the demo on XBL and didnt think it was as good as the first one, any thoughts?

brought it today but not played it yet.. Nath has played it and said its amazing though

played it this morning... its ACE!

got mine today yea its quite good tbf

the demo on xbl got on my t!ts to be honest, the menus took too long to go through, especially after a race you have to watch yourself look around the stand then walk into the trailer, only took like 4 or 5 seconds for this sequence but its long enough to annoy you. I must mention it does look great and is a good effect, the FIRST time it happens.

As for the racing, i didnt feel like it was driving on the surface u are supposed to be on, and the camera angles got on my nerves, bouncing all over the shop when you dink a wall or something, so when you try and correct you over do it or under do it as the camera isnt where you think it should be.

Graphics are very good though and i liked the in car view very much, maybe just the demo but i didnt see much sign of there being the sort of shoot out races (dont know what they are really called, the ones like the race of champions, two tracks next to each other), which i liked.

Didnt like the celebrity drivers talking non stop over the radio mouthing off at each other and you, "im going to beat you ken" "im gonna get that championship travis" etc seemed fake and it muted the sound of the race and engine, tbh id rather listen to the car than some faked speeches...

Might pick the game up in a year off fleabay for a fiver but i wont be rushing out to buy it, not when forza 3 is so close
