members sub groups was created by dr_hillmann
for example owners subgroups, for fiesta or focus' for example

so we can communicate and share info easily, and make it easier to connect with people who drive certain things...

I might get a rover tuner to tune my gt40 turbo on my left testicle to run 400000 bhp lol

I think that certain people would be just left in a group of their own. This could be an idea if there were literally thousands of members, like the grouping of STOC.com

We're a nice group and I think that the information flows very well for the number of members.

Sounds like a good idea. I could see how a Ford members area would help certain users. Like Ford 'how to guides' and things like 'common issues' and 'mechanical support' etc etc

Just a thought, what happens to the members who have cars that are low in numbers on the site? I could imagine the ford members would mostly chat in the ford area, about ford related issues (obviously :P ) then if other areas of the forum went quiet, it could discourage members from posting on the site in other sections- as they would be quieter and not have the usualy volume of good posts and banter which i think is a unique part of this site over other car forums .

Just for an example, i think there is only a couple of suzukis on this site. Would be pretty pointless in a suzuki section as it would just use up spae on the site and be pretty useless. Obviously there is no point us posting in a ford members area regulalry, otherwise it could just turn into spamming of threads. So with lots of members in a 'ford section' does that just leave the odd few who have lower numbers of cars to chat amongst themselves somewhere else?

Sorry if this offends anyone, but i think if you start dividing the forum up into groups it might have a negative effect on the forum as a whole. But i totally agree with the idea of trying to make it easier to speak to similar car drivers.

Just a suggestion, but how about in putting sub folders in the readers rides section? Would be alot easier to find a particular car make project thread .

Hope you dont mind me putting in my 2 cents!

:D ;) :D

Fords rule!

An open forum is the best though, it stops any snobbery and the such taking over.
