OPEN SPORT NATIONAL UK CHAMPIONSHIP DRAG RACES: 23/08/2008 - 25/08/2008
National Championship drag racing return’s to the Warwickshire quarter mile this coming August Bank Holiday weekend in three extreme days of blown mayhem and speed!
Providing the explosive nitro element of the event is the return of the Nostalgia Fuel Altered Association campaigning cars with outlandish names as Venom, The Mob and Relentless. Wild looking cars clothed in colourful Model T or Fiat Topolino bodies. The drivers who pilot these amazing machines are wilder than the cars as they hunger for 200 mph plus speeds in less than 6.5 seconds. You have to see it to believe it.
The UK National Championship round also sees the return of the Super and ET classes as they pound the quarter mile in search of season long points battles to be crown champion at season’s end. Classes known as Wild Bunch and Outlaw Anglia will also be in search of speed along with the Street Eliminator bracket and Junior Dragster.
If you are a two wheeled fan, then the nitro bikes will suit all levels of entertainment as well as the Funny Bikes and Super Street machines all capable of 6 second quarters at 200 plus mph.
Drag racing has to be seen to be believed, so why not come along to Shakespeare County Raceway. You won’t be disappointed. See you at the strip!
