My MG ZS 180 V6 2.5 :)

Welll I Bought thiss just over 2 weeks agoo...

Got it Homee and all was finee.. drove perfect..
2days Later.. The engine Dropped a Valve :@ Whatt a Bummer.. Apparently It missed a Tooth On the cog.. and caused it to drop a valve
It had onli done 75k with Full service history

No1 Will Touch the V6 engine out of these Cars...
One side of the V-Bank is £2000 to rebuild...

Sooo me and my mechanic set out too find a new enginee

Second hand ones were goin for about 600 - 1200 on ebay depending on condition etc
But its second hand.. You cant be sure what the engine is reali like!!!!

Sooo I went too Motorsalvage.. Scrap yard in redditch Hewell Road
Where I Know the owner

Asked Him if he knew where any was...
I was In luck

They were clearing Gaydon - rovers Test facility..
They were given 20 Brand spankin New MG ZT/ZS Cars.. To Break.. To say Thankyou...

For me this was Perfect...

Soo I Had one of the Brand New engines out of the Car..
The Engine had done 0 Miles.. Yepp 0 Mile
Never even been Started up...
Sooo Its a New engine

I Also Managed to Get the Gearbox out of this car aswel Soo a complete New engine and gearbox.. ready to put into my car

The engine and GearBox alone have set me back £1200
And My mechanic at Abbey Auto's Redditch.. Hewell Road.. ( Shaun and Earl ) Are In the process ATM of Taking the Old engine Out.. and Puttin this New babyy In

Soo itl Bee Like a Brand new Car...

Also.. Iv Been speakin to a Few people.. managed to get Hold of the engineer at X-power.. Who are MG's Race team!!!
I wanted to kno of any more mods. that would Make it abit above the rest..

He said.. Put a X-power Stage 2 Chip ECU onit..
He gave me a price for a new one.. And has Sent it out to me

Thats waiting to be fitted aswel... Once the engine is dropped in.. The ECU can go in

It will Run 235BHP Instead of the standard 180
I also Got a Complete X-Power Touring Car Exhaust system off him.. Brand new aswel

Thats all at my Mechanics Ready to be Fitted aswel
Sooo Not onli will i have a MG ZS with a Brand new Engine.. Its goin to be a Tweaked One.. With a Bit more Grunt that all the others.. And itl be able to all Be run on a brand new enginee.. What a Pefect Set up

And with the Exhaust System.. itl let the V6 Purrrrrrr away


The scheduled Completion date is Christmas Week Sooo It should be at the next Meet In january Touchwood it is anyway...

Standard it Runs 180bhp

But with this ECU im stickin on it runs 235 Instead of the standard 180.. The Plus the Exhaust system.. probs lookin around the 240BHP - 250BHP Range Because itl Be re-Mapped and Set up on the rollers When it comes out anyway soo... Ill be happyyy with that
