2001 meg coupe

So where to start??? had a silver megane which i had for over a year loved the car but needed some work doin on it so i decided to have a look about for another coupe take the parts off the silver one an put on the new one. So havin a browse on ebay (aug 2012) what did i find a yellow megane coupe 2001 1.6 16v.... tax an mot till april 2013, 99k, s.h, 2owners not done a lot of miles since last mot all for £400 in lemington spa....



Needed some tlc... brakes all round needed doing to start, lacquer peel on bonnet, roof an a bit on rear bumper too other than that not bad for the money.
So after gettin the brakes done put it on the road had a week off work an it started 3 days straight from this.....





to this.....





and the result was.....





Swap included all the interior, stereo, speakers, 52mm gauges, clocks with dial rings, white footwell lights, rear tinted windows, wheels, rear kyb shocks, front shocks with lowering springs, exhaust an other bits.
So with the other car sold an most of the bit swapped over more modding was to come.....

After a bit of cleaning the car up clay bar etc the bonnet was really bugging me with the peel so sourced another bonnet for £30 spent the evening cleaning it up, added a black badge an kept the black grills in





next up the exhaust an rear mudflaps bk on



black side repeaters an debadged above indicators.....



black rear badges.....



the orange wheel tape came off for a bit then decided to have yellow an changed the wheel centers....



genuine renault mats....



changed all the clocks, heaters, window switches and 52mm gauges to blue from orange.....







yellow fog lights an morettes followed by rear black lights.....

Today as it was sunny gave the car a wash which was a waste of time but was clean for a few hours an gave me chance to try out the megs ultimate wash an wax, also took all the black badges off as the paints peeling of them



done the front too, swapped the grills over too but felt the chrome looked too much





plans to come are change side repeaters to clear an colour code the standard back lights as i feel they will flow better with the morrettes on the front other than that got other bits i want to change but will b as and when

Had to put them there as didn't want it looking out of place.... Now I just can't decide if to leave the mileage read out lite orange.... blue or white hmmmm
