hey also could use some advice on my engine but don't know were to post it so ill put it here when I start my car when its cold or almost cold it goes up to 2k revs then down to 1.5k revs witch seems a little high but when its warm it goes down to about 200-500 and shudders at red lights when warm took it to a garage and couldn't find anything wrong, anyone else ever had a problem like this? all help will be appreciated.

Yeah you'll struggle with getting the TRD kit, best bet is to just keep an eye out on eBay or the Celica owners club (celica-club.co.uk) - they pop up maybe every few months if you know where to look. There is a bodyshop in Rugby that used to be based in Kenilworth, called Kenilworth Autobodies - I cant find their information now though. One of the Rugby lads should be along and let us know!
We have a bodyshop as a sponsor in Alcester but its quite far away from Rugby - its called Alcester Car Care: https://www.facebook.com/groups/2762253 ... 0/?fref=ts
Unfortunately theres not much you can do with these engines without spending serious money (or just getting the VVTLi), you've done the exhaust, an induction kit will give unnoticeable gains, ECU is locked down, all the lightened flywheels and so on cost a fair chunk. A good service will help massively if it hasnt been done in a while
With the extreme revs it could be a lot of things, I'd try checking the MAF sensor,[/url:2o7015d8] IACV[/url:2o7015d8] on the throttle body, and a maybe even just a ECU reset[/url:2o7015d8] in the slim hope its the exhaust change thats playing with it (maybe o2 sensor problem..)
If you need a help with anything just give us a shout (the member 'devnet' on here has a black celica too, hes pretty handy with them!) , the guides I linked tell you pretty much tell you everything though. NewCelica and CelicaHobby are good sites for guides, but the communities are american dominated so not a great place for general use, Celica-Club.co.uk is good but membership restricts you a bit
Check out my project log by the way: <!-- l --><a class="postlink-local" href="http://www.warwickshiremodified.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=5896]viewtopic.php?f=20&t=5896<!-- l -->

thank a lot man will clean the throttle body and the maf sensor/ maybe new ones either today or tomorrow but how do I go about getting a ecu reset? will post a pic of the car soon also and with the induction kit thought it wouldn't do a lot so might just drop a k&n panel filter in and it had a service about 2 months ago and with the bodyshop would it be ok if you could maybe source the address, was thinking about going to sunauto bodyshop n rugby on mill road but don't know anyone who has used them or if their any good, thank again for all the info

Yeah just be careful cleaning the MAF, did mine and it gave me problems but everyone else seemed to be OK after, new seems to be the best option but they're around £150
Where I mentioned the ECU reset its actually a link to the guide, its here - http://www.celicahobby.com/forums/ubbth ... Reset.html . Its just a case of pulling afew fuses out, or if youre not fussed with losing stereo settings etc then just disconect the battery for afew minutes (leave a window/door open incase of any locking issues)
To loosen the throttle cable just do the opposite to this guide - http://www.celicahobby.com/forums/ubbth ... ghten.html
Ive got a K&N panel filter you can have for £15, brand new was only in for a couple of weeks. I got it to see if going back to the standard airbox reduced heat soak, and it did by about 15-20c generally, but I just preferred the sound of my induction kit so will sort a cold air feed instead
Matts number (previously Kenilworth Autobodies) is 07764853752
I dont think he advertises much as the last I heard he does insurance jobs mainly
Cant say I remember anything anything about Sunauto, but their Facebook page seems to have good feedback - https://www.facebook.com/pages/Sunautos ... 0468408805
