Trust me, I went to Art School. I've used Macs. I've seen them with viruses and I've seen then crash just as you're saving/printing your painstaking piece of Photoshop work.Gritter wrote: Ow rude !!! Shan u dnt no wat ur missin out on ,,Macs ftw
Sod them. To death.
iTunes is just a drain on resources and is a bollocks piece of software. WINAMP FTW.
At least when one little part of my PC goes wrong I can take it apart and replace that bit.
And iPods are overrated, overpriced fashion accessories.
END!

You used one?
I've had all sorts of MP3/MP4 players etc and as such never saw the need to spend 10x as much on a iPod instead of generic one... but well then i tried my mums 3rd gen nano and got myself a touch not long after then started with the jailbreaking etc etc... its awesome
Will be getting rid for a iPhone soon
p.s. Macs suck, iTunes sucks.

macs are shite. we have them at uni. i had to get a foreign exchange student show me where the power button is... on the back

Mac works like this [inc. iPod] - Everything is built in. If something goes wrong. Tough shite. You either pay a fortune for it to be sent off and repaired. Or you upgrade. Which costs a lot of money. I remember when all my mates had batteries dying in their iPods. Couldn't just buy a replacement battery and put it in! And my best mate at uni had such a virus-ridden Mac that she just had to end up chucking it! [If she'd have had a PC there'd have been at least 20 computer nerds in halls willing to help fix it <!-- s:lol: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_lol.gif" alt="
With PC - Windows have bugs in the software to eat away at your files very slowly. So the machine eventually breaks. The difference being that you can whip your PC apart and cheaply and easily replace things. Fans, hard drives, optical media drives etc etc. Then there's the option of wiping your machine completely and running Linux or whatever. There are ways and means of trying before you bin it. And upgrading bits and bobs is simplez.
I stand by the fact that Macs are stylish yet impractical. They're not as powerful as PCs and aren't as readily customisable. With a little know-how you can change a lot on a PC.
Also, Mac seems fairly pointless this days as they mostly run Windows anyway?!? And all Mac software, Adobe etc, you can run on PC. On top of gaming, home entertainment etcetcetc.
Sooooo obviously it's subjective. But like I say, PC til I die!

in the real world, like where i work. you HAVE to use catia. and its windows
you can emulate on mac, but whats the point, you can have a steamingly powerful CAD pc for couple hundred quid!
no one makes viruses for mac, becuase the virus makers think, poor mac users, they have it bad enough already!
poor sods can even right click!
