Ford Street KA - Urgent Help needed!

Hey peeps

Been on the look out for a new car for Alice recently and there's a street ka fairly local that we are going to look at tomorrow.

Hate to admit it but I know sweet F.A about fords and KA's in particular.
I know the basics and common sense when looking over a car, and basic things to spot...

But are there anything in particular with KA's and in particular the convertible STREETKA versions that we should know about?

Any Dodgey electrics/Gearboxes/rust issues or any other renowned factory defects?

We just got rid of our SportKA, due to the amount of issues with it, primarily the EML would come on and off stating the Hego sensor, but there would be nothing wrong with it. But this may be localised to the ka we had.

Also not sure if its similar but when we had to get the Alternator changed due to it failing, it cost around £500 due to 4hrs worth of labour + moving the aircon out the way to get to it.

hi nothing that i can really think of that springs to mind, take a look on fk-oc.com where they can help with any problems or common faults if there are any with them. I've had my sport for a couple of years now and never had a any major problems with it other than wear and tear. what i do know about the Street is fairly cosmetical stuff which is un important. lol

the tigras are a good car based on the corsa makes them really easy to work on
let me know if you need any work doing on the tigra as im a vauxhall technician

Every car can have its bad points at some stage, so we thought what the hell and took the plunge lol.
Was bit of a bargain (we'll see lol) and is in great nick.

Ta very much. Got a feeling your fiesta would have been too many pennies for us
This was mega cheap and about half what we were initially looking at spending on a daihatsu copen
