yh the mk4 1.25 engines are awesome! thats the only reason why i bought my mk5, cos it had a mk4 engine in! haha

the mk4 1.25 is just as quick as a zetec s up to 60, and is quicker than a 1.6 escort, thats why the mk5 1.25 engine is much slower

Why use an 1800?? the 2.0ltr's a far better starting piont and you get the mtx-75 box rather than the shoddy ib5

Exhaust.. If you're not far from Nuneaton or coventry go to Custom Chrome Racing, exhuasts are spot on, an they tune them to make the sound you want. They did my dad's and many will tell you how nice it is.. Second noisiest car in england

I have a sportex on the metro, they're very good budget exhausts, and relitivly cheap, so look them up.

its only a 1.25 so theres not much you can do to get lots of power, so dont bother wasting the money on expensive stuff, cheap sports air filter and back box will do nicely. the 1.25s are nippy anyway
