nothing on a mini as you chop the cones on your car to lower it but on a modern car cutting the springs can cause problems such as the spring not fitting in the "cups" correctly so they may pop out causing the suspension on one corner or more to collapse and sending your car into the nearest tree, ditch or lampost, a better sugestion would be to heat shrink them tho this causes the metal to become slightly weeker and the chance of the springs snapping increases, but it is less dangerous than chopping ;)

i noticed there is alot of butchering and halfords mods mentioned above, but what about scrap yards no ones mentioned factory bumpers eg umrating your bonus fez to an xr2i kit, fitting differant factory wheels, face lift head lights, also ive found momo interior parts at wights on the A45, a set of DTM mirrors, peco back boxes even after market body kits can be found you just need to know where to look

lmao ^^^ just crack out the crayola's and go wild! black gaffa tape go faster stripes, electric tape inserts, get the angle grinder out and chop yourself some one off vents whilst your at it you could make yourself that sunroof youve always wanted <!-- s:lol: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_lol.gif" alt=":lol:" title="Laughing" /><!-- s:lol: --> weld a baked bean can to your existing exhaust and tell every one its a big bore... bin liner window tints or just hamerite them, what about an MDF rear spoiler, roof scoop, or front splitter? the possabilities are endless!

cut up a dustbin ... to make a bonnet or roof scoop
use a fire estinguiser+ old light to make home made air conditioning haha ( actually done this want details ask lol)
use ur grans net curtains to spray over as a stencil
make your own quickshift ... chop n re weld .. wouldnt recomend lol
use old stero speakers from ur house in your car
get a hammer n starting wacking away put in some speed dents for extra bhp
replace ur horn with a novelty one
give car a gd clean
