How do you clean yours? was created by shanners
Your engine bay, that is!

Ok, so...I'm a bit lax on the old car cleaning front really. But what with it being show season and all, I will be getting busy with some shampoo! Hoping to get the Pug running more often throughout the summer [if we have one] too.

But yeh, I have never ventured into giving my engine bay a proper clean. Nothing more than a quick wipe really. So I want some of your valuable knowledge please!

Had a little looky around on the net for some good products/tactics but it seems that everyone has their own completely different ways of doing it, so I'm a bit confused now.

It's pretty grimey so it's gonna need a good going over!

I am now opening the floor to you lovely people for your wealth of advice :D

try TFR.... traffic film remover. its strong stuff but can be mixed with water to weaken it, spray it on and use a piant brush in bad areas then wash off using a hose being careful of electrical components. a steam cleaner would give a much better result rather than a hose. i have used this before and worked really well. truck cleaner is another good one. only problem is i dont know where you get them from but a body shop or car paint supplier could point you in the right direction.

hope this helps ;)
