Window Tint Glue/Residue

Had front tints on my car when I bought it, and got told by the police to remove them there and then when they checked them. It was a cold night which I think didnt help in leaving so much of the films glue/residue on my window. Its been too cold to try and remove it all since, even a hairdryer and white spirit wont make it budge unless I put ALOT of elbow grease into it - but it would still take me literally 12 hours to remove it.

Anyone know of anything really strong I can use to remove it?

Cheers all, am going to give the auto glym tar and adhesive remover a go first though since it can come in handy for the damn tar on my car (had the roof done at work! messy bar stewards!). Was only like a fiver at Halfrauds, will try it first thing tomorrow!

Tried a stanley blade scraper and got nowhere, it was soaked in meths aswell, and even tried it heated with a hair dryer and it wouldnt budge - well it would, just not easily, look as if when I was putting enough power in to remove it, it was scratching my window too. Will give the Auto Glym stuff a go anyway theres no harm trying

Its OK, the Auto Glym stuff worked Seemed to make the glue turn into jelly and would collect to itself when scrubbing it off the windows - so happy days!
