need help lol was created by little-chris
hey guys,
got a turbo 2000 scoob other day
keeps overheating after a short drive, is fine at idle however
water pump looks very new and only thinkg im thinking is head could be on way out ..
steel seal work maybe ??

had a look around and from what ive read doesnt seem to be head gasket because there is loads of power
possibly thermostat or water pump again ( it looks brand new tho )
are they an easy fit on a scoob as ive never done one myself

also noticed my resevoir on left keeps emptying but coolant in tank on right stays full

Could be air locked in the coolant system,may be worth trying to bleed the system?

Could also be the cap on the header tank mate as some times the seals fail

yeah the car feels crap , i aint got a 20 / 21 or a 22mm socket to remove one of the pulley to get to teh pump

I'd say it'd be an air lock in the coolant system...
Had the same in mine (apart from I actually had a hole in the radiator) new rad & soon sorted it

i emptied the system last night , gonna change water pump when home and hopefully with some fresh coolant will all be ok

Just take your time bleeding it,boxer engines Re renowned for being a pain to bleed properly.
