yeah u would be alot better off buying a performance replacement panel filter if u carnt afford an enclosed induction kit, as u will suffer from heat soak(suck in the hot air from the engine) and loose power

Yeah I have a K&N panel filter and I've drilled out my airbox on the side not facing the engine to prevent warm air being drawn in. Sounds far more meaty than before and the panel filter doesn't cost a lot and never needs replacing if it's K&N and the drilling is free! Much cheaper than any induction kit.

thanks guys ill look into a panel as tryed a induction filter car ran like crap! and smoked badly lol.. wheres best to drill?

i would try it with out drilling 1st see how it goes, unless u can get a spare box to drill
