Not sure if this is the right place but at the moment I've only go two crappy shelf speakers to provide my bass line.. Im looking at getting a sub but I don't know if you need a certain amp for each sub or a certain type:S? Ive got a legacy series 4 500w amp. ancient by the looks of it. Any suggestions? x

if ur running 2 subs ull need 2X 250watt subs. if ur running 1 sub just get a 500w sub and "bridge" it :)

As above really, except the amp is likely to be 500w max, so the RMS will low at 250 - only worth if for one sub i reckon

Iv got vibe active sub for sale its a 1200w 12" blackair sub in a ported box with the amp built in lookin £60 for it.

^ Job done! Active sub means it has an amp built in, matched perfectly for it, buy this then flog your current amp (tidy it up abit ;) ) to get a couple of quid back then your sorted :D
