ive stripped and refitted a dashboard in the mrs' corsa and if i remember there is 3 screws for the surround then a big metal clip on the back. dont think you can get them off with the steering wheel in place and are a killer to clip back in! lol

I'd agree with speedo cable, although if it's not got a cable (for some reason) it'll be the stepper motor.
