Simple electrical question was created by mongman
my zxr has a seperate regulator and rectifier unlike most bikes. now i'm getting 11.1v off the regulator and 11.8v at the battery regardless of how fast the engines turning. i can't get any reading off the rectifier either voltage or amp but i get 2.8a off the regulator. now the question is: has the regulator, rectifier or alternator gone? it's £85 per part and £100 for a replacement alternator and a nightmare to replace as it's belt powered so wanna try and fix it without removing the alternator itself.
